Introduction: Pituitary apoplexy is a rare, potentially life-threatening syndrome caused by ischemic infarction or hemorrhage, generally into a pituitary tumor. The clinical manifestations of PA usually manifest suddenly and include headache, nausea/vomiting, altered awareness and visual abnormalities.
